Announcing HUD CoCBuilds- Permanent Supportive Housing Development Funding Opportunit

On July 19, 2024, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the Continuum of Care Builds (CoCBuilds) NOFO. A summary of the NOFO is here. Available funds from this NOFO are for capital costs for new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of new PSH units for eligible individuals and families experiencing homelessness outlined in 24 CFR 578.37(a)(1)(i) where at least one individual in the household has a disability. This is a different funding source than the HUD CoC NOFO that was previously announced.

Funding Available for the Fresno Madera CoC:

  • Maximum amount for a single project: $7,500,000

  • Maximum amount for an additional project with units located on Tribal reservations or trust land: $2,000,000 

Only one project application per CoC may be submitted. CoCs are permitted to submit a second application if the new PSH units are constructed, rehabilitated, or acquired on Tribal reservations or trust lands.
