Critical Supportive Services

Not Provided in Other Categories

  • Personal needs: Critical funding needed to address gaps in homeless supportive/housing services (e.g. medical respite, transportation, clothing, child care, a person’s personal access to employer / private health insurance, resources they’ve lost due to hardship – which now are limited or missing). These supportive services are necessary to assist people experiencing homelessness, but are unfunded and/or under-funded thru other sources as noted above.

  • Faith Community: Supportive food, shelter, counseling, clothing, etc. services. Neighborhood based outreach identification and direct service to the locale.

 

 

Early Intervention
&
Prevention

  • Diversion: Interim temporary supportive and financial aid supports resolve homelessness.

  • Discharge Planning: People experiencing homelessness being discharged from System of Care


 

Outreach
&
Emergency Shelter

  • Street Outreach to find homeless not currently receiving services or shelter

  • Emergency Housing

  • Permanent Supportive Housing

    • Permanent housing with wrap-around supportive services including subsidized rentals

    • Case management involved services that ensure attachment of identified benefits and services

    • Case assistance in attaining needed public services, ongoing self-sufficiency training and support or continued long term available program and advocacy services

 

Public Supportive Service

Critical to Identification of & Ending Homelessness

  • Mainstream Services: (SSI, Disability, Veterans Benefits, Unemployment Benefits)

  • Public Funded Agencies & Services: Targeting homeless (Employment/Training, CalWorks, Law Enforcement, Social Services…)
