What is HMIS?

The HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) database stores unduplicated data collected of homeless persons by participating homeless service providers. HMIS allows homeless service providers to analyze patterns of the use of assistance, including how they enter and exit the homeless assistance programs and the effectiveness of the systems.
