Fresno County Department of Social Services (DSS)
Fresno County DSS administers housing assistance programs for eligible individuals and families who are receiving CalWORKS and are at risk of homelessness or currently experiencing homelessness.
If you are not currently receiving CalWORKS, you may still contact DSS to determine whether you qualify for assistance.

If you are facing termination from a Continuum of Care-funded Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) program, you have the right to appeal.

The Eviction Protection Program (EPP) assists eligible tenants within the City of Fresno who may be facing unlawful eviction. Qualified tenants may receive free legal representation or legal services.

How to Get Help
Step 1: Visit a Coordinated Entry Access Site
Meet with a trained staff member who will complete an initial assessment of your housing situation and needs.
Step 2: Complete an Assessment
You will be asked questions about your current housing situation, income, household composition, and support needs.
Step 3: Receive Referrals
If you are eligible and assistance is available, you may be referred to housing resources, homelessness prevention services, shelter, rapid rehousing, or other programs.
